Word Fun

I think this site Contractions 2 would provide students with fun practice in learning about contractions. This is a great site to accompany the lesson on contractions in the 3 language arts curriculum . Students alwasy seem to have difficulty with contractions. To begin the unit I would teach sample contraction to the whole class using the direct teaching method. Students would then have to guess which words matched the contraction. When they have had time to practice as a class taking turns and giving answers then we could work on the web site posted for further practice. This site provides a fun alternative to the written assignment in class decoding contractions. using this site students can have fun and learn the contraction match through this interactive memory game.student scan play a memory game where they have to find the correct words that make up the contraction grade
